Guest Gab
Woman's Fiction with Romance by Sharon Srock

Author Sharon Srock went from science fiction to Christian fiction at slightly less than warp speed. Thirty years ago, she cut her writer's teeth on Star Trek fiction. Today, she writes inspirational stories that focus on ordinary women using their faith to accomplish extraordinary things. Sharon lives in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma with her husband and three very large dogs. When she isn't working or writing, she loves to read, cook, and travel. She's still working on a way to do all three at the same time.

Welcome, Sharon. Please describe yourself with three words.
Organized, introverted, chocoholic
Do you have a dedicated place to write, or a nook or corner of a room, or the kitchen table?
I have a brand new office now that I've retired from the day job. It's a stand-alone little building located about 50 feet from my front door. It has everything a writer needs to be productive...desk, book cases, a recliner, and snacks! (and it's purple!)
Where is your favorite vacation spot? Why?
Any place I can go snorkeling. I went for the first time in Hawaii 13 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. I got the chance to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef when we visited Australia in February and it was the most amazing thing ever!
Please tell us a little about your novel, Jesse.
Jessica Cooper married the love of her life right after high school graduation only to have her happily-ever-after dreams burned to cinders the night her husband broke her arm in a fit of rage. Twelve years later Jesse says yes to Garrett's proposal, convinced it's finally her turn to have the life and love she's always longed for, with a man who can be trusted to hold those dreams safe. When Garrett is accused of the unthinkable and her ex-husband turns up on her doorstep, offering apologies and undying love, who should she believe?

Garrett Saxton is a respected, by-the-book high school counselor. Everything changed the night one of his female students showed up after-hours hysterical, and begging for his help. Unable to send her away, he calls for a chaperone and offers what comfort he can until reinforcements arrive. Now he's accused of rape and paternity by the student he tried to help and his future with Jesse is ending before it began.

With a manipulative ex-husband who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, career ending accusations, and the threat of legal action, everything seems to be spiraling out of control. How can Jesse and Garrett overcome the challenges to their happiness and salvage the promise of a life together?

What Am I Reading?

I recently read Beneath the Summer Sun by Kelly Irvin, Zondervon, 357 pages, 2018. Kelly Irvin continues to write beautiful love stories and this one is a compelling read. Jennie is a widow whose Amish community thinks it's time for her to remarry for the sake of her seven children. First, she must get past her emotional scars from her first husband. She must choose between Leo, an Amish man who has loved her since she chose her late husband instead of him, and Nathan, a Mennonite book salesman. Both men also cling to emotional scars from their pasts. You'll keep turning pages to learn Jennie's choice. A Good Read.

Clean Chuckle

church Two little boys were known troublemakers, stealing everything they could get their hands, even from the church.

One day a priest stopped one of the boys and asked, "Where is God?"

The boy shrugged and the priest repeated, "Where is God?"

The boy ran out of the cathedral crying to his home where he hid in a closet.

Eventually his brother found him and asked, "What's wrong?"

The crying boy replied, "We're in trouble now! God is missing and they think we took him!"
