WMS Artists Shine!
Wow! We have some amazing talent at the Middle School. Congratulations to 2 of our budding artists at Wilmington Middle School! Kyle Agnew (left) and Oliver McDermott (right) were selected to display their art pieces this month at the Ohio Statehouse Exhibition.

Graduation 2019!
It's hard to believe, but graduation is just around the corner. Wilmington High School will hold commencement on Friday, May 24, 2019 in the WHS Gymnasium at 7:00PM.

We're working on plans to live stream the ceremony in the Auditeria and on Facebook. We'll post details on the District website, as plans are finalized.
Seamless Summer Lunch!
For the 6th year the Wilmington City School District is offering lunch this summer, free of charge, to all children 18 years and under in the Wilmington community. Help us spread the word by sharing our Summer Lunch Flyer with friends, neighbors, co-workers, your church, summer sports teams, and anyone else you can think of.

  • Monday through Friday, from May 28th through August 9th (excluding July 4)
  • Meal service will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Wilmington Middle School cafeteria.
  • Children do NOT have to be enrolled in WCS or on free or reduced meals to receive a lunch free of charge.
  • All meals must be consumed on-site and must meet the National School Lunch Program required components.

Each day, four entrees will be offered with fresh fruits and vegetables and two flavors of milk. If adults would like a meal, they can be purchased for $4.00.

Appreciation Days Ahead
It takes a dedicated team to educate kids today, and at WCS we are fortunate to have one of the best teams around. Any day is a great day to show appreciation for all that they do, but in May the whole nation says thanks. Won't you join us?

May 6th: Ohio School Bus Driver Appreciation Day - Did you know that Ohio has over 15,000 school bus drivers? We have a terrific transportation team here at WCS.

May 3rd: School Lunch Hero Day - Our nutrition staff works hard to bring nutritious and tasty breakfast and lunch to the kids every day!

May 6-10th: National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 7th - National Teacher Day). Thank you to all the teachers that educate our kids!

May 8th: National School Nurse Day - Thank you, Nurse Connie!
Elementary Parent Survey
As our elementary students complete their first year in Grade Level Centers, it's important to review our processes. To do that, we need your input.

If you had a child that attended one or more of our elementary buildings in 2018-2019, we encourage you to take just a few moments to complete our Elementary Parent Survey. Please submit your survey before May 21st.

Thank you, in advance, for providing your input. Working together, we can create a better educational environment for all our students.

Celebrating Our Students
We've collected some recent articles highlighting recent student and staff accomplishments. We hope you'll take a minute and read up on our awesome WCS students. We think you'll be just as proud of them as we are.
