The successful candidate will also provide support to help youth with disabilities to transition into independent adult life. Focus on developing community services, leadership, educational, independent living, and professional skills in disabled children and youth from all neighborhoods and communities. Although this position is vital to working with all youth, pre-, post-, or enrolled in secondary school, the goal is to also concentrate on youth who are not in school, as those are youth with limited or no access to services and support.

HILC is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities, especially those in minority communities and their loved ones, by equipping them with the resources and knowledge needed to live independently.
