After-School Site Coordinator &
Assistant Site Coordinator

East End, North Side, Red Bay, John Gray, Clifton Hunter, Cayman Brac

PRIOR SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, TEACHING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED. Must be an excellent role model that is passionate about positive youth development, dependable and of strong work ethic.

Position Summary: The Site Coordinator/Assistant Site Coordinator positions are responsible for the overall supervision of staff and volunteers, children, activities and record-keeping at the individually assigned school. Provides a safe, fun and educational environment for all school-aged programme participants.

Qualifications: Minimum age 21, High School Diploma, CPR & First Aid certified, minimum one year experience in an after-school or child care setting plus strong leadership, communication, supervisory and organisational skills.

Work Schedule & Compensation: Mon-Fri, 2:30-6:30 pm, plus additional meeting/planning times, as required; CI $12-$18.50 per hour (based on education and experience), plus pension and optional health insurance.

After-School Youth Leader/Instructor
East End, North Side, Bodden Town, West Bay, Cayman Brac

Position Summary: Organises and implements educational and recreational activities, for all school-aged programme participants. Under the direction of the Site Coordinator, the Instructors are responsible for the general safety, positive growth and character development of the children by providing high quality experiences rooted in YMCA core values.
Specific Interest Areas: General, Cooking/Nutrition, Dance, Drama, Drones, Flag Football, Football, Heritage Drumming, Heritage/Cultural Studies, Music

Qualifications: Minimum age 18, High School Diploma, CPR & First Aid certified, previous experience working with children preferred, ability to make quick, appropriate decisions for the safety and well-being of all children in their immediate care, and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Work Schedule & Compensation: Schedule based on need and participant registration, programme runs from Mon-Fri, 3:00-6:00pm; CI $8.50-$12.50 per/hour (based on education and experience), plus pension and optional health insurance.
