Dear Roberto-Venn Grads, Here's a message from
Iron Horse Amps in Tucson, AZ
We're looking for a Guitar Amp Tech to join our team. This is an opportunity for the right person to learn all aspects of tube guitar amp building. We assemble the chassis. We install the mechanical components such as transformers, tube sockets, pots, jacks, to "stuffing" components onto boards, wiring to various points within the amp, and testing... We also install amps into custom cabinets built here in Tucson, plus we mount speakers. It's a thorough and top-notch process.

Depending on experience/expertise/willingness to work hard we are willing to offer the following wages:

1. $15 to $16/hour during the training period of 3 to 6 months depending on expertise

2. $17 to $18/hour once up to speed on building amps with some independence after six months

3. $20 to $25/hour depending on skill and advancing ability to work independently, accurately and capable of building high quality amps after 12 months

4. Up to $30/hour after the first 18 months of strong performance

We are open to hiring male or female, all races/nationalities equally considered -- qualified veterans with electronics experience encouraged to apply.

Work in Tucson is required but hours are flexible after first 3 to 6 months of superior performance.

In addition to the wages above, we will help employees design and build amps for their and friends own use.

And to clarify, IronHorseAmps builds complex, high gain, all tube guitar amps. These are NOT copies of fender deluxe reverbs or similar.
