so we are all on this path together.
| | A perfect day for the park | | Job Path’s Community Connections held a Field Day in Central Park last week with basketball and volleyball matchups for participants and staff. | | |
Airballs and 3-pointers were both celebrated.
There were strategy sessions on how to acheive the perfect volleyball bump.
But most of all, it was a chance to enjoy a lovely day, sports, camaraderie, and community in the Spring sunshine.

“I felt really good because I did something I wanted to do.”
-Joe R.

Employment program participant Joe R. recently received a certificate of completion from GameU after successfully completing a four-year STEAM-based training.
The hands-on training included sessions on Power Point and Excel, as well as G-Suite programs, web programming and 3-D design.
“I really like getting a chance to use the computer more,” he says, noting that he hopes it will help him in his job search. Joe previously worked in a warehouse for a lighting company and his job coach Lily Howard says he’d be an asset to any company.
| | | “He’s very invested in being a good employee and contributing to the team,” she says. “He’s dedicated and just awesome to be around, and he really contributes to the culture.” | | A "Thriller" of a day for Supported Living | | |
Participants and support staff from Job Path’s Supported Living program enjoyed a showing of the bio-pic “Michael Jackson” recently after Job Path rented out a theater for a matinee showing in Times Square. Participant Erica P. gave it 5 out of 5 stars.
“It was really nice. I had a great time. I was dancing and singing,” she says. Asked for a rendition of her favorite hit, she expertly sang the chorus of “Beat It” like a pro!

Favorite Thing About Job Path:
My favorite thing about Job Path is the creative and thoughtful ways we show up for our participants. Every individual comes in with their own personality, ideas, goals, and challenges, and our staff truly takes the time to get to know them as people. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; we meet participants where they are, build on their strengths and skills, and support them in ways that are meaningful to them personally.
One Thing People Might Not Know About You:
One thing people may not know about me is that I’m a mom to a wonderful 3-year-old. Being a parent has definitely taught me patience, flexibility, and how to juggle a lot at once. Those skills naturally carry over into my work at Job Path and help me stay grounded in a busy day.

Memorable Moment at Job Path:
One of the most recent and rewarding moments was seeing a participant return to his dream job. Last summer, he completed an internship that unfortunately had an end date, and our team worked closely with the employer to advocate for another opportunity for him. After several months, he was able to return to the role. Seeing his dedication, how fulfilled he is in the work, and his excitement to be back and succeed has been incredibly meaningful. Moments like this are what make this work so powerful.
