Good morning Austin!
We hope your year is off to a great start, and we are excited to reconnect with you as we pick up where we left off in our mission to support and empower the residents of the Worth Center. One of our most significant accomplishments to begin 2024 has been the expansion of off-site and in-person job readiness opportunities for our residents.
Speaking of 'picking up,' this year 10 of our residents have already successfully secured their forklift operator safety training credentials, opening doors to local employment opportunities through our valued partnership with the Ridge Project! The Ridge Project stands as one of the few organizations offering pre-release and on-site forklift training, further enhancing our residents' prospects.
We also firmly believe in nurturing leadership qualities among our residents. To be considered for training, individuals must first complete the TYRO Leadership Program. These initiatives are a crucial step towards equipping currently incarcerated adults with the essential workforce readiness skills and services they need, including accredited job training, to facilitate their successful reintegration into society upon release.
