Joe Serna Jr. Farmworker Housing Grant Program
Notice of Funding Availability
Round 2 Augmentation - Additional funding available
Tribal Entities - apply by November 18
The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is pleased to announce the availability of an additional $103 million in funding for the Joe Serna Jr. Farmworker Housing Grant Program. This funding is an augmentation to the Round 2 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) of approximately $86 million that was issued February 25, 2021.
Applications received under the Round 2 NOFA totaled more than $228 million, far more than the $86 million available. HCD is augmenting the funding available for Round 2 through the issuance of a Supplemental NOFA.
Funds available under this Supplemental NOFA will be split into two parts as follows:
1. Round 2 applicants: Approximately $91 million to projects which previously submitted an eligible application under the February 25, 2021 NOFA but were not awarded funding. No new applications will be accepted.
-
Augmentation eligible applicants will receive a Consistency Certification Form and if interested in being considered for augmentation funding, the form must be submitted by email to [email protected] by 5:00 p.m. PST on August 10, 2021. Awards will be announced September 2021.
2. Tribal Entities: Approximately $12 million for eligible project applications.
