How Can I Help?
As our eyes have taken in images from our neighbors in the storm's path, our hearts yearn for God's care for them. Pray for safety and effectiveness of emergency workers currently on site in affected places, both nearby and throughout the region. Pray for the resilience and emotional health of survivors and responders. Pray for all the resources--human, material, and spiritual--that communities will need in the days ahead.
We know that the work ahead will take time, and there will be ample opportunity for John Knox to mobilize our volunteer energy toward the needs in our region. Our leaders will be discerning the path forward in consultation with Foothills Presbytery's Disaster Preparedness and Response Team and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
If you choose to donate to John Knox Presbyterian Church, we will use these funds to support our own response as well as our partners' relief efforts. Please note in the memo: Disaster Response.
