John G. Williams IV, 82 of Wadsworth passed away October 23, 2024. John was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on July 26, 1942 to the late Glenn J.and Helen (Yergin) Williams.
John enjoyed being outside, shooting his gun, bowling, spending time with family and he was an avid reader.
He graduated June 1961 from Wadsworth High School. John was in the High School marching band and played trombone. After graduating he proudly served in the US Marines.
John worked at numerous jobs before working for Cleveland Pneumatic, where he retired in the mid 2000's.
He is preceded in death by his brother in law Gerald W. Hagenbaugh.
Survived by sister Midge A. Hagenbaugh (Williams), nephew Mark W. (Christy) Hagenbaugh, nephew Jeffery L. Hagenbaugh, niece Maryann (Jerry) Toney and many great nieces and nephews.
The family request memorial contributions be may to the Wadsworth Salvation Army, Heaven of Rest or the Wadsworth United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Monday October 28, 2024 at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, Ohio where funeral services will be conducted 10am Tuesday October 29, 2024. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
