About our speaker...

Dr. Marianne Holdzkom


The lecture and discussion will be led by Dr. Marianne Holdzkom, history professor at Kennesaw State University, specializing in the Colonial/Revolutionary History of the United States.


Dr. Holdzkom holds her B.S. in Drama from the University of Evansville, her M.A. in History from Ball State University and her Ph.D. in History from The Ohio State University. Her fields of specialty are Colonial/Revolutionary U.S. History as well as the History of U.S. Religion and Culture. She has taught all four History survey courses as well as History of the Atlantic World, Modern Social/Cultural History, Colonial U.S. History, and the History of the American Revolution. She has traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe and enjoys sharing what she learns on these trips with her students.
