Join us for the in-person January council-wide Roundtables! There will be one on 1/12 at 7:00pm at Gorman Rupp in Mansfield and on 1/19 at 7:00pm at Stark State College - Silk Auditorium. 

We will be equipping leaders with a printed summer camp leader guides, discussing camping opportunities for summer camp 2023, assist with recharters (if needed), and so much more! Light snacks will be provided.

Mark your calendar for the 2023 Johnny Appleseed Trail District Klondike Derby January 20-21 at Camp Michael. The address is 1741 Shupp Rd, Bucyrus. Camping on Friday night only. Cost is $16.00 per registered Scout. Scout Leaders are $12.00 each. Two adult leaders are Free. ($17.00 per youth and $13.00 per adult after midnight Jan. 13th) All registered participants and adults will receive the event patch.

Bring your Pinewood Derby kit to one of our clinics to design and cut your car! Clinics will take place on 1/7 in Mansfield and Marion and 1/14, 1/21, and 1/28 in Canton. Note: the 1/7 clinic in Canton has been rescheduled for 1/28 due to a pipe burst at the Canton office.

After your car take shape, you can visit one of our Scout Shop to pick up decals, weights, and other supplies to have a great race!

Celebrate Scouting returns in 2023 to bring our Scouting family together by highlighting successes from 2022. Celebrations will take place with every unit and at free family fun events. Throughout the Celebration all parents, leaders, and members of the community are invited to connect and invited to invest. Congratulations to the 2022 Eagle Scout Class! On 3/15, we will recognize the 2022 class on CelebrateScouting.org with a customized for EACH Eagle Scout and a collective recognition video that will highlight their collective impact. This video will be available for Scouts to view with their family, Troop, and share with friends and family across the country. We need your help to make this possible! Submit photos and videos congratulating an Eagle Scout in your life.

During the recharter process, leadership changes may be made for your unit. Make sure to update the account holders for your Unit Deposit Account at the Buckeye Council Office the next time you are in. Simply ask the front desk to see who currently has access to the account.

This revolving account can be used to pay for camp, popcorn, items in the Scout Shop etc. It's important to ensure the appropriate people have access to these funds.

Adults from across the Buckeye Council are invited to join us for Youth Mental Health First Aid Training! Participants will learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health illness and substance use disorders in youth.

This training is provided at no cost to all Buckeye Council leaders. Mark your calendar to join us online on 2/25 or in person on 3/4. Registration coming soon!

Part of attending Scout Summer Camp at Seven Ranges is doing a Good Turn for the camp. Take your troop to a Good Turn Weekend this spring.

Additionally, if you are planning to use a chainsaw at a Good Turn Weekend, make sure you get Chainsaw Safety trained. There is a training on 2/24-25 at Seven Ranges.

The all new Den Leader Hub is now live and FREE for all Buckeye Council leaders! We have created in-depth digital resources to help den leaders plan and deliver an incredible experience to kids. These detailed program plans, videos, and handout materials for every Cub Scout Adventure will save Den Leaders time and allow for first-class support on those adventures for kids who miss the meeting.
