Indiana’s Regional Economic and Acceleration Development Initiative (READI) program awarded $500 million to 17 regions for community development projects that will spur talent development in the Hoosier State. Johnson County’s region, the 180 Alliance, was awarded $20 million. The 180 Alliance’s proposal focused on downtown quality of life, outdoor recreation, arts and culture, housing, regional infrastructure, and talent attraction. Aspire Johnson County represented Johnson County on the region’s executive committee to finalize the region’s proposal and pitch to the State.
 

218 Indiana cities, towns, and counties were recently awarded a combined $101.9 million in state matching funds for local road projects through Community Crossings, a component of the Governor’s Next Level Roads program. The initiative has provided more than $1 billion in state matching funds for local construction projects since 2016.
