Will you ask your community groups, congregations, and elected officials to sign the open letter to the Pittsburgh-based Colcom Foundation demanding they stop funding anti-immigrant politics and white nationalism?

Colcom funds a powerful network of anti-immigrant political groups around the country, many with ties to extremist white nationalists and listed as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Colcom gives millions of dollars annually to groups like FAIR, Numbers USA, Progressives for Immigration Reform, Pro-English, American Border Patrol, Keeping Identities Safe, and US Inc., longtime publisher of the Social Contract Press, and current publisher of Border Hawk.

The Colcom Foundation was created in the 1990s by the late heiress Cordelia Scaife May and has consistently funded anti-immigrant groups founded or previously led by the late John Tanton, who was central to building today’s anti-immigrant politics and made it part of his life’s work to make the anti-immigrant agenda appealing to white liberals through greenwashing and other so-called “progressive” messaging.
