Calling all ATPF Parents! You are invited to join us at our next Lunch & Learn TODAY, Wednesday, April 22nd! J oin ATPF Volunteer Executive Director Dayna Hoff in a discussion and Q&A with Bobbi Hanna, COTA/L, Occupational Therapist and ATPF Volunteer and Supporter, who will be sharing advice about the everyday process for families during the COVID-19 pandemic and answering questions from parents.

This new Zoom series is hosted by the ATPF Team and partners with ATPF Parent Mentors, Board Members, Community Partners and Supporters for weekly interviews/presentations, and Q&A's discussing stay-at-home strategies, parental advice, and new creative ideas on how to manage challenges daily and expand your and your family's world while at home!

Huge thanks to Speech Language Pathologist Michelle Connelly, Director of ATPF Bay Area Early Intervention Preschool Screening Program for expanding our Bay Area screenings since she joined our team in 2016. Thanks to Michelle's hard work, we have tripled the number of annual screenings we have provided to the Bay Area community in the last year!

We LOVE our ATPF Interns & Volunteers! We will be recognizing and highlighting a new intern or volunteer in every e-newsletter - this week we are sending extra love and thanks to ATPF Volunteer Evan Gerardo! Evan is a Junior at Saint Augustine's High School and began volunteering with ATPF in July 2019. Just months later in September, Evan used his personal connections with the Kearny Mesa Bowl and coordinated a free bowling party for our ATPF Teens! Since then, Evan has volunteered at many of our community program events, including our Teen Time Virtual Reality Workshops, Parent Mentor Nights, 6th Annual ATPF GivingTuesday Telethon, monthly Core Team Meetings, and our 12th Annual Program Managers Meeting.
We are immensely  grateful to have Evan on our ATPF Volunteer team!

We are so thrilled to launch our 4th Annual ATPF Food, Farming & Nutrition Program 6 week workshops, partnering with Wild Willow Farm in South Bay! Every workshop is different and provides an opportunity for our children and families to help out on the farm, play in the children's garden, pet therapy goats and chickens, and create a healthy lunch with produce they pick fresh from on the farm. Kids ages 6+ are welcome to attend!

You will build LEGO's and practice social communication skills with guidance: Santana will answer any or all of your questions, give advice, or observe how your family is interacting and give feedback.

Calling all ATPF Parents of kids 13 & under! We are so excited to partner with Heart and Hooves Therapy for a fun outdoors workshop! Come on out to the ranch and enjoy 2 hours of learning outdoors about mini horse safety, knowledge and interacting with them. Each kid will be paired up with a mini horse and handler for the duration of the session. Together they will learn to correctly approach, handle and groom their mini horse, as well as lead them through the obstacle course while playing educational games. We will have a group game working on patience, listening, focus, taking turns and respect. Then we will have horseshoes game, roping cow head to learn on and a snack!

ATPF Virtual Adaptive Dance Class

ATPF LOVES Tap Fever Studios! We had our first ever Virtual Adaptive Dance Class this afternoon and our families had so much fun dancing together at home. We can't wait for our next one on Thursday, April 9th!

ATPF Volunteer Executive Director Dayna Hoff was staying informed and inspired during the Newswise COVID-19 Live Expert Panel this morning, where members of the media were invited to ask questions with health experts on the Coronavirus pandemic. ATPF Typers Zoom Meet-Up

Our ATPF teens had an amazing time connecting with each other this morning at our first Typers Zoom Meet-up! We love connecting with old friends and meeting new ones. Thank you to ATPF Mom Shelly Lana and her son Otto Lana for offering and leading these meet-ups. See everyone again on April 15th!
