WHO: The Delta Emerging Leaders, an auxiliary board of the Delta Institute, engages young professionals interested in sustainability issues.

WHAT: The inaugural Green Soapbox, an event series bringing together Chicago's emerging green leaders.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 13, 2010, 6:30-9:00 p.m.

WHERE: Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, 2430 N. Cannon Drive, Chicago

WHY: Today's young professionals want to be green, and there are many ways to do so - so many that it can be daunting to get started. The Green Soapbox event provides an informal but substantive setting for young, emerging leaders to listen, learn and engage with each other and with young, established leaders who have successfully navigated today's green opportunities.

The Green Soapbox event will bring together emerging green professionals with young, established green professionals to listen, learn and engage in a fun and festive environment.

These thoughtful speakers will get up on their soapbox:
* Lisa Elkins, Architect/Principal, 2 Point Perspective Architecture + Interiors
* Paige Finnegan, COO, e-One
* Laura Knezevic, Director, Illinois Student Environmental Coalition
* Steve Pincuspy, Senior Program Associate, Safer Pest Control Project

These fun prizes will be raffled off:
