Our "Tackle the Odds" program supports underserved communities along the Mississippi Gulf Coast by addressing food insecurity and increasing access to healthy foods. We are committed to making a real impact in these areas, and we need your help to do it.
Did You Know?
- Across Mississippi, approximately 553,610 people face hunger, including 159,370 children.
- Mississippi holds the unfortunate distinction of having the highest overall food insecurity rate in the United States, averaging 15.3%.
- The Gulfport area and surrounding communities are among the hardest hit, with some of the nation's highest rates of food insecurity.
Our 2024 Food Drive Goals this year, we are aiming to:
- Distribute 1,500 turkeys
- Serve 700 families
- Secure 35 sponsors
- Engage 82 volunteers
You can join Derick Hall and me next month as part of the One Percent Foundation team by volunteering, donating, or becoming a sponsor. Together, we can make a significant difference in the fight against food insecurity.
We Need You, and we are grateful for your continued support.
Thank you,
Stacy
