"وإن الحرب مبدؤها الكلام"
”And the war begins with words".
The Arab poet Nasr bin Sayyar Al-Kanani (d. 131) correctly observed that war begins with words that then it ends with death, destruction and ignorance. Islamophobia is about bigoted words uttered against Muslims and Islam, which since the early 1980s has caused the death of upward 10 million Muslims worldwide. Moreover, Muslim women are the primary targets of violent Islamophobia and public policy restricting their religious freedom, civil society space and equal citizenship. We do the research, collect the data, and undertake the analysis to effect policy. Your donations empower our research and makes it possible to effect public policy.
Your donations can help defeat Islamophobia and through it bring an end to the ongoing wars and prevent future ones. “Allah (God) commands justice and Ihsan (excellence) and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct (injustice) and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.” (Quran 16:90). The Islamophobia Studies Center’s mission is to actualize Prophet Muhammed’s (Peace be upon him) statement in the Farewell Pilgrimage: “An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety, righteousness and good action. All human beings are from Adam(AS) and Adam is from the dust of the earth.”
Can I count on you to be a partner in the struggle for Justice, Ihsan and Equality for all?
