Volunteer Opportunities

From food distribution to pantry operations, there are many ways to get involved and contribute to the organization's mission. Volunteers can help with food drives, sorting and packing food, and assisting with special events. By volunteering, individuals can help Feed the Need address child hunger and empower the community.

Food Drives

Feed the Need of Putnam County organizes food drives to collect essential items for local families. We partner with churches, civic and student clubs, organizations, and businesses. Call or text 386-227-7503 to find out today how you can get involved.

Community Engagement

Feed the Need of Putnam County engages with the local community through fundraising opportunities and food drives. Consider making a one time donation today or setting up a recurring donation. $10 a month will feed a child for a weekend.

2026 Putnam County Fair

A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped bring the Feed the Need fair booth to life this year. Your energy and kindness made the booth a welcoming stop for everyone who passed by.

Extra cheers for Bob and Carlene Emery for prepping the booth ahead of time, decorating, creating the flag, and even recruiting a neighbor to craft the wooden bird that stole the show. Thanks to their creativity and teamwork, the booth proudly earned a Blue Ribbon.

We appreciate every one of you who helped make it such a fun and successful fair week.

Thank you Putnam County Fair Board for Including Feed the Need on Can Day! This will help us feed many Putnam County students and their families!

Monthly Food Collections

Join your fellow community members and help Feed the Need of Putnam County fill the empty cupboards through the backpacks of 800 food‑insecure students every weekend.

Together, we can put food in the hands of hungry children in Putnam County.
