Dear Friends

Even though Holden is closed to guests, we are on the road to recovery. Our staff is maintaining and caring for the Village itself, connecting with our larger community downlake, and looking at ways to improve our systems and infrastructure so we can return to an even better Holden. We are actively preparing to welcome 5,000 guests back to the Village within the first twelve months of reopening.

We wish we could come to you today with more information about when exactly that will be. The United States Forest Service has begun the process for repairing Forest Service Road 8301, but due to the complicated nature of repairs to federally owned roads, we don’t know yet when the Village will fully open to guests. We will be closed for the summer 2026 season and possibly summer 2027. We are committed to sharing more updates as we know them and ways you can help prepare for our reopening.

One of the best ways you can support Holden’s recovery right now is by taking part in the Jubilee Auction, which starts Wednesday, March 25, at 8am Pacific Time.

All proceeds support Holden Village, so enjoy bidding on fun items and experiences for yourself or as gifts, all while sustaining Holden’s road to recovery.

Take a sneak peek at a few of the auction items and special funds you can support. Register to bid NOW so you’re ready to go when the auction starts. More items will be added, so keep checking the auction site for new postings.

You can also support Holden Village by sharing the auction with your friends, family, or congregation. Forward this email to your friends and print these QR codes and share them in your community to help spread the news.

Contributions to this year's auction will help us prepare to welcome you back to the Village. Thank you for supporting Holden’s road to recovery!

With good courage,

From Forest to Song: Holden Village Taylor GS Mini (Limited Edition) - Jubilee Auction 2026

This remarkable 2014 Taylor GS Mini isn't just a beautifully playable acoustic - it's a story of stewardship, craftsmanship, and service. Crated from Engelmann spruce salvaged during the mine-remediation work near Holden Village, this limited-edition guitar makes beautiful music and carries a special connection to the Village.

Rich Caemmerer Jr

Richard Caemmerer helped found the Grunewald Guild in 1963 as a place where art, craft, faith, and community could meet in a natural setting. Craemmer's art is visible around Holden Village, including the ceiling of the Village Center.
