Dear Neighbors,

The Partnership for Providence Parks, The Friends of Mt. Pleasant Park, and I have recently launched the Produce in the Park Fall Market Share program.

Produce in the park connects the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood with weekly shares of local, sustainably-grown food specifically, we offer produce shares sourced from local farmers.

If we register enough shareholders paying full price for their shares, we will be able to subsidize shares and get produce to families in our community who aren't able to pay full price for the share.
When we reach our shared goal of 50 shareholders paying full price for their shares, we will be able to provide 35 reduced price shares to members of our community in an effort to reduce food insecurity, and strengthen our neighborhood.

A full priced share is $21 per week and includes 8 lbs. of fresh fall produce which has been locally sourced. Farm Shares can be picked up on Wednesdays from 3 -6 PM at Mt. Pleasant Park. There is rolling registration, and we are about to start week 9.

I hope that you will consider joining me in becoming a shareholder so that we can help support our neighbors who need the extra help during these trying times.

If you have questions about the program, feel free to contact the Partnership for Providence Parks via email at pipmountpleasant@gmail.com!

Sincerely,
Jo-Ann Ryan, Majority Leader
