It was a wonderful evening of connection, celebration, and holiday spirit in the heart of downtown Milford.

MILFORD, CT – December 11, 2025 – Comcast today celebrated the grand opening of its newest Xfinity Store, located at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford, Connecticut, underscoring its commitment to the community. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Comcast announced a $20,000 grant to the Boys & Girls Club of Milford to help expand digital opportunities for local youth.

Milford Trick or Trot 5K Raises $42,103.71
On October 25th, 443 runners and walkers of all ages put on their favorite costumes to participate in Milford's 14th Annual Trick or Trot 5K. This event, which was sponsored and organized by the law firm Harlow, Adams, and Friedman, P.C. and Sikorsky Credit Union, takes place every fall with all proceeds benefiting the programs and services of Beth-El Center to support those experiencing hunger and homelessness in the Greater Milford Area.
We are so excited to announce that thanks to all of our sponsors and attendees, this year's race raised $42,103.71... the most funds raised to date!
According to Jenn Paradis, Beth-El Center Executive Director, “The proceeds from Trick or Trot are critical for the Beth-El Center to keep struggling families, veterans and senior citizens sheltered, fed and safe this winter. For the fourth consecutive year, homelessness has risen across our state and in 2025 alone, we have witnessed a 45% increase in unsheltered homelessness. We are so grateful for everyone who comes out for this event to raise money to support our emergency shelter and community food programs!"

About Beth-El Center
Homelessness is a life event that can happen to anyone.
The Beth-El Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides shelter, support services, and advocacy to those experiencing homelessness and hunger in the greater Milford area. Through their 34-bed homeless shelter, food service programs, and outreach and engagement services, the center offers individuals, families and veterans long-term solutions to help them reclaim their lives. Beth-El Center’s Community Kitchen is a space where any community member in need can receive a daily meal and place to connect.
Beth-El Center is often called upon to provide thought leadership, system development and strategic planning around homeless response for municipalities in the Center's service region and beyond.

St. Mary School in Milford is once again transforming its campus into a winter wonderland for its annual Christmas Tree Sale!
Shop under twinkling lights at our beautiful farm stand beginning November 28th at 12:00 PM and continuing until Christmas!
We will have freshly cut Christmas trees, wreaths and cemetery pieces available to purchase.
