You're invited to become a vital part of our Visiting Library Service program. This initiative offers complimentary home delivery of library materials and resources to individuals who are unable to visit us in person.

As a Visiting Library Service volunteer, you'll play an important role in fostering connections within our community. Your responsibilities will include making personal phone calls to patrons, as well as reserving and delivering a diverse array of library materials and resources.

Check out our in library display or booklist to help increase your understanding about transgender people and the issues members of the community face.

We also have a range of picture books about 2SLGBTQIA+ stories that help promote understanding, empathy, and acceptance.

The Sewing Room
Sunday / November 19 & December 10
2:00 - 4:00 pm

Join us on Sunday (or two) for an afternoon of sewing!

This program is for folks who have their own machine and all necessary sewing supplies and are looking for a space to work on projects or have some company while getting creative.

There is no instruction or supplies provided. The Sewing Room is for adults only.

Into the Wild: Bear Talk with Michael Allen
Tuesday / November 28 / 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Join Michael Allen to learn about Squamish River watershed wildlife. Allen has been busy in the field camera-monitoring bears, mountain lions, and wolves and will share his videos and updates on these animals and more!

Storytimes take place in the Community Meeting Room. Registration is not required.

Squamish Community Learning Program

Capilano University is hosting Tsawaysia Spukwus (Alice Guss) at their Family Learning Circle with four workshops in November and December. There are still two you can attend.

Tuesdays / 3:30-5:30 pm / Squamish Public Library / Community Meeting Room

  • November 7: Cedar Bark
  • November 14: Drum Making
  • November 21: Wool Weaving
  • December 5: Salve Making

All programs are free of cost, low barrier, and open to everyone in the community. All ages welcome.
