Beth El USY President Reflects on Poland Trip

Stephanie Kallish  spent last summer on a teen trip to Poland/Israel. On Monday night during our Beth El Yom HaShoah program, Stephanie shared the video presentation (left) which details her trip experiences and impact. She received the Men's Club Irwin Wygodney Holocaust Stipend. CRS students are encouraged to apply for a stipend and take this trip of a lifetime.

Wine & Wisdom: Beruriah - the Ultimate Eshet Chayil with Hazzan Ben Tisser

We will look at rabbinic texts showing the wit and character of one of Rabbinic literature’s most beloved female characters–Beruriah. She will “out Rabbi” the Rabbis, and teach important lessons to her husband, R’ Meir. All the while, we’ll enjoy (virtually) some great kosher wine! Free.

Over 75 Years Old and Need a Face Mask? Beth El Can Send You One for Free
Wearing a face mask is important. As a preventive measure, the CDC (the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recommends wearing a face mask when you leave your home to walk or to grocery shop. If you live in Highland Park, it’s the law. HAZAK and our Caring Community, will gift them to you if you need them. Please email Pam Schlosberg below, or call (847) 691-8991 and we will mail your face mask order to you .
Beth El's Caring Outreach
Beth El is standing together in these challenging days with care and support. Through HAZAK, we’re setting up an outreach call network to let our membership know we are thinking about them and offering assistance if needed with shopping. If you want to help with this program please contact either Jackie Melinger Pam Schlosberg , or  Stacy Goldsmith .
Support Moraine Township Food Pantry

This local food pantry in Highland Park continues to offer support to the community it serves during these difficult times. They are providing once weekly drive-through grocery pick-up (Tuesdays from 10 am - 2 pm), phone support to Medicaid and SNAP participants, check-ins on 325 low-income seniors, and a van for life-saving medical treatments. I F YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO NEEDS HELP,  please have them contact Moraine Township at: 847-432-3240. Although they are not currently accepting food donations, you can support them by clicking below.
