If you’re local, please join Sowing Opportunities in our participation in Malden’s Summer Festival on Pleasant Street this Saturday, June 26th from noon to 5:00 p.m.! This event is part of a summer series: , which is family-friendly and inclusive.

Sowing Opportunities will be giving plants in exchange for a donation of your choice. We have zucchini, tomatoes, heritage peach trees, hot cayenne peppers, chives, butternut squash, basil, mint, morning glories, zinnias, and romaine lettuce. At present, we have 8 trays of plants to give away!

We will have a sign, "Take a plant and please donate to help the village." "Toma una planta y por favor, dona para ayudar a la aldea."
No garden? Live in an apartment? No gardening skills? No problem! Talk to us. We have a solution!

We will have an interactive activity: kids can draw a picture and get their photo taken with a release form and the pictures will be sent to the people in the village of Chajmaic in Guatemala.

We gratefully acknowledge the following people for contributing pots for transplanting plants:
If you’d like to help, any amount is gratefully accepted, and makes a world of difference.
