Hispanic Heritage Month

At BBBS, we believe in the power of showing up for one another. This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the rich cultures, voices, and traditions that help shape the lives of the youth and families we serve. When we embrace who we are, we create a world where every child can thrive. We’re proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and honor the strength, culture, and leadership of the Hispanic community.

Paint The Town Green!

Thanks to everyone's support, Paint the Town Green was more than an event—it was a movement!

We’re excited to share that we saw a 36% increase in volunteer inquiries, a 480% surge in social media connections, and incredible feedback shared by word of mouth.

That momentum means more Bigs stepping up and more Littles finding the mentors they’ve been waiting for. Together, you’re helping us create matches that truly change lives.

We’re so grateful for your support and can’t wait to Paint the Town Green again next year!

🚴‍♂️ Registration is open! There’s plenty of time to sign up and ride (or run) with Team Defenders in this year’s El Tour—don’t miss your chance to be part of the team.

Join Team Defenders and ride, or run for Mentorship at El Tour de Tucson! We want YOU to be a part of the fun and ride or run for a great cause. It's time to get moving and get involved.

When you register to ride with Team Defenders, you’ll also create your own fundraising page to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona. Every dollar raised helps match more kids with mentors who change lives.

Not riding? You can still make an impact by donating directly to a Team Defender rider’s fundraising page.

Our BBBSSA El Tour Social Brunch Series continues, and we’d love for you to be part of it!

📅 Saturday, October 11th

⏰ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

📍 Reforma at St. Philip’s Plaza

Reforma is generously hosting us on their shaded outdoor patio for this ongoing brunch series, running through November 8th. Attendees will enjoy one complimentary beverage, and Reforma will be donating a portion of proceeds from all food and non-alcoholic drink purchases to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona.

This event is open to past riders, current participants, and anyone curious about joining Team Defenders or learning more about one-to-one mentoring. It’s the perfect way to connect, get inspired, and enjoy some great food and company.

An Evening in Emerald Gala!

Our Evening in Emerald Gala sparkled with generosity, celebration, and community spirit. Thanks to the incredible support of our guests, sponsors, and partners, together we raised an astounding $243,575 to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona.

We are deeply grateful to every attendee who joined us—whether you bid in the silent auction, lifted your paddle high, purchased raffle tickets, or simply showed up in support of mentoring. Your presence made the evening truly special and reminded us of the powerful community that stands behind our Bigs, Littles, and the life-changing relationships we create together!
