"Democracy is not a spectator sport, and these new, more democratic maps give us a chance for new representation in the State Assembly. I’m running to be that fresh voice to ensure our communities and residents have affordable high speed internet, clean air and water through high environmental standards, and quality public schools. These are all things that help us attract and keep people in the area and provide a high quality of life". - ELIZABETH GRABE

Meet Alex Wright, our area coordinator with the Wisconsin Dems. Alex will be at Brix Cider in Mount Horeb, Thursday, June 13, 5:30-7:30. Find out how you can make a difference in November!

Do you know your new State Assembly District?

As a result of redistricting, many of us are in new assembly districts that are different than the ones we have been in for many years.

  • The villages of Mt. Horeb and Blue Mounds, along with the townships of Vermont and Blue Mounds, are now in the 51st Assembly District, along with Iowa and Lafayette Counties, and a few villages and townships in Grant County.
  • Townships of Springdale, Perry, and Primrose are now in the 50th Assembly District, along with a bit more of southern Dane County and all of Green County.
  • Townships of Cross Plains and Middleton are in the new 80th Assembly District.
  • Further to the north, Berry and Black Earth are in the 81st Assembly District.

The above is a rough description - more resources are presented below to find your district and support your progressive candidates.

Statewide AD map and update on districts and who is running

(Maps take a while to download)

AD50 - Currently represented by Democrat Jenna Jacobson. Find her information and sign her nomination papers here.

AD80 - This is where Democrat Mike Bare, who represented many of us so well, is now running for re-election. Learn about Mike here.

AD81 - Alex Joers, Democrat, will be running for re-election in this new district. Learn about Alex here.

Most importantly, AD51 - Democrat Elizabeth Grabe is challenging the incumbent Republican. This is our chance to flip a district from red to blue! Keep up with Elizabeth's views and events here, and contact Jennifer Gottwald davidjen@mhtc.net or 608 437 1974 to sign Elizabeth's nomination papers.
