Unveiling of the Everyone 250 Historic Marker April 27 at 5pm

Rain or shine, join us Monday, April 27th Coretta Scott King’s 99th Birthday —  at 5:00 PM outside our headquarters at 558 Massachusetts Avenue as the League of Women for Community Service officially becomes a location on the trail of the Everyone 250 Historical Marker Program! As the country's 250th anniversary approaches, in collaboration with Embrace Boston and other community partners, Everyone 250 is building an inclusive vision of the City of Boston and ensuring the nation's diverse future. Come support! Blessedly, the occasion also marks an opportunity to celebrate the 99th birthday of the legendary Civil Rights icon Coretta Scott King who lived at the League’s headquarters in the early 1950’s while she was a student in Boston.

A reception will take place immediately after the ceremony a few doors down the street at the South End Historical Society at 532 Massachusetts Avenue.
