Charles White will be leading worship. Evan Chan will share his message "God attends to us, how can we respond?" based on 1 Kings 19:1-15.

Come at 9:00a.m. for Fellowship & Learning:

Adults   ~ Sunday school (9-9:45 am in the Sanctuary Circle).  We hope you read 1 Kings 19:1-15 ahead of time if you can but please also come if you are unprepared!

Youth   ~ If parents are in the study   before worship there will be a quiet activity downstairs for the kids. Sunday school will be offered in the Gethsemane House, next door during the Sermon portion of worship.

Holy Love Book Group
Book Study from Steve Harper's Holy Love: A Biblical Theology for Human Sexuality.   Link to book:
This week we are discussing chapter 2.

Group will meet on Sunday's @ 7pm for around one hour. You can join physically at COM or virtually over Zoom Meeting, email Donna for the link to join by computer! 

I will provide you with a book or you may order it on Amazon yourself. Please e-mail me if you are interested in attending.

Next Week: June 30th after worship we will share brunch and have Kathy Baldock with us about her research on "How the Bible Became Anti-Gay" She will facilitate discussion around this topic and the history of how "homosexual" appeared in the first edition of the RSV translation, and a successful campaign to change the wording based on research of the original Greek.

Centering Prayer   in the Sanctuary Prayer Circle
Tuesday & Wednesday morning 8:00 - 8:30

We often start with the daily meditation from Pray As You Go which is music, scripture and contemplation for 10-12 minutes, followed by the remaining 18-20 minutes of silent meditation. Here is a link to Pray As You Go for you to check out and use on your own!

Kids Can Recycling Ministry: Please continue to bring your CRV recycling to COM and support our ministry with Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian of turning garbage into good! These recyclables are exchanged for money which is being donated to International Health Partners and Hands of Hope to provide life and hope for children in Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
Want an opportunity to help serve refugee families in the Reno area? Refugees have many needs from transportation, clothing, tutoring and practice speaking English, or just having friends to hang out with! Sparks UMC mentors a family from Congo, and we mentor a family from Afghanistan.
