The next day we visited a local diner for breakfast. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was impeccable. Among the sea of employees, I could not tell who the owner was because everyone working there reflected pride and ownership. The restaurant was packed with locals, and no matter how many people walked in and waited in line, everyone was made to feel as though they were the only ones in the restaurant.

As I compared big box dining with this local gem, I thought about how God used the parable of the wandering sheep in Matthew 18 to illustrate that He will leave the 99 for the one.

I have worked in Corporate America, serving 2.1 million customers, and earned JD Powers award-winning customer service awards. Yet, those trophies pale compared to the importance of reaching someone for Christ.

Today, God has me serving in the Christian chamber to help Christian businesses grow and connect leaders with a greater understanding that our businesses are a means and opportunity to reach people for the Kingdom of God.

Beth Copeland, an Atlanta resident, who is also a Christian Chamber Member and speaker for the Kingdom Women of Tomorrow event at the Expo, visited Disney over the long weekend. As she enjoyed time with her family, she shared information about the Expo and helped a woman she had just met at the resort pool get her ticket for the Expo!

As I think about our Christian Chamber and the impact we are making around the Nation, I want to encourage you to see this little chamber as that diner where everyone served as if they owned the place. In reality, you do! The better we do, God gets the glory! I want to encourage our owners, i.e., the Christian Chamber Members, to get your Expo Tickets, invite 99 people to join you, and volunteer for a couple of hours.

Collectively, we can be an extension of Christ through our businesses and reach that one.

We partnered with Vision Orlando to offer One Nation Under God - Town Hall, On Thursday, September 8, from 6-8:00 PM. We will showcase the leading candidates for both US Congress and the FL State Legislature. Candidates will have a chance to speak, pastors will pray over them, and attendees will have time to visit in small groups with the candidates. All candidates are invited.
