Building opportunities for sustainable, affordable housing in northern Arizona. | | Behind the Doors: From Former Motel to Workforce-Attainable Apartments | |
In the video above, join our CEO, Devonna, for an inside look at Housing Solutions’ 29 new workforce-attainable rentals at Western Hills Apartments! This former Route 66 motel has been fully remodeled into modern studio, 1, and 2-bedroom apartments, now providing housing for Flagstaff's middle-income earnings, enabling them to live locally in the community they serve.
As our third "adaptive reuse" project, we’re proud to reimagine existing spaces for much-needed housing, while also reducing environmental impact compared with new construction.
We are deeply grateful to our staff, Board of Directors, and the City of Flagstaff for helping make this vision a reality. Click below to learn more and submit a rental interest application!

Two New Affordable Rentals
Housing Solutions recently purchased two additional Flagstaff condos that will now serve as permanently attainable rentals for local low-income households, helping make rent more sustainable in our community. Our first two tenants—households who previously experienced homelessness—have already been identified.
We’re deeply grateful to the donors and supporters who make this work possible, and to the City of Flagstaff for supporting this project through CDBG funding. Thank you as well to Councilmembers Anthony Garcia and Lori Matthews for touring the units and celebrating this milestone with us.

Izabel St Construction Update
Second-story framing and roof trusses are now up on our 11 new affordable apartments, bringing this project one step closer to welcoming future residents home. These homes will expand safe, stable, and affordable housing options for local low-income households in Flagstaff.
