On May 21, the reintroduction of the Traveling Exotic Animal and Public Safety Protection Act (TEAPSPA) was announced by Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ), David Schweikert (R-AZ), and Jan Creamer, President of Animal Defenders International (ADI). Jungle Friends is honored to join a coalition of 20 animal organizations led by ADI to support this vital bill.

The abuse of animals in circuses and other "entertainment" venues cannot continue!
While such performances may seem amusing, the training and housing conditions can be incredibly stressful, and often abusive.
The Reluctant Entertainers
Warning: This video contains footage of abuse against animals.

For monkeys, their entire lifetime is affected when they are exploited for entertainment. As infants, they are stolen from their mother's arms as early as just a few days old. It is not hard to imagine the horror both baby and mother must feel during this forced separation.

Traveling animals are deprived of physical, emotional and social needs. These animals are often seen rocking, swaying, and pacing -- all indicating that they are in distress.
YOU can help us end the suffering of animals throughout the US. Contact your representatives and urge them to support this bill.

This is Coco, one of our resident monkeys, who spent over three decades in "entertainment".
This poor monkey has had all of his teeth removed, all in the name of "entertainment"..
This monkey is clearly frightened. Help us end this abuse -- contact your representative.

Together, we will continue to be a voice for the voiceless, and work to end the abuse! As always, I am so thankful for your compassion for our monkeys, and all the beautiful animals on this planet!
