About The VSU Alphas Chapter
The VSU Alphas Chapter was formed in 1984 and chartered in 1996 as a professional chapter within the Virginia State University Alumni Association . The chapter is comprised of alumni who were initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., either through the Beta Gamma Chapter, the undergraduate chapter on the campus of VSU, or through a graduate chapter.

The Chapter's main purpose is to promote fellowship, linkage, and support for the University, the Alumni Association, and the Beta Gamma Chapter. The chapter formally meets during the Fraternity's General Conventions which are held every other year. In between formal meetings, an Executive Steering Committee meets to coordinate activities and make decisions for the
chapter.
