O God, the strength of all who put their trust in you: Mercifully accept our prayers; and because in our weakness we can do nothing good without you, give us the help of your grace, that in keeping your commandments we may please you both in will and deed; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Please pray for the natural disasters around the world. For the fires in Australia, and the Coronavirus, and the worst plagues of locusts in eastern Africa in seventy years. May Our Lord's hand of protection be on all who are affected.
It is a privilege that we will have Archbishop Foley Beach with us on Wednesday, February 19th, for a service of evening prayer at 6:30 p.m., and a "Meet-and-Greet" at 7:30 p.m. This may be the only opportunity to meet this amazing Christian leader, so please plan on attending.
Lent & Ash Wednesday
is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the season of Lent. Lent is a time in the church year in which we are called to reflect on our lives, repent of our sins, and to practice spiritual disciplines that will help us to grow closer to God.
Services on Ash Wednesday are as follows:
8:00 a.m. – St. Clement’s Parish School Service
10:00 a.m. – Spanish Service
12:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. – English Services
It’s not too early to think about helping cook for our Forty Day Café which we have during Lent. It is usually a soup/salad/bread lunch. Please let us know if you would like to help.
Yours in our Lord Jesus,
