OpenLine: Reno 2020 Progress Report

 Reno 2020 Progress Report
A LIVE OpenLine Townhall Broadcast

We all know our region's challenges - a stagnant economy, high unemployment, rampant foreclosures. The Reno Gazette-Journal's Reno 2020 forum and KNPB's Looking Up From the Bottom probed the roots of the problems. Now, a year has passed. It's time for a progress report.

On Thursday, February 23 at 8:00pm, KNPB hosts a special live broadcast OpenLine: Reno 2020 Progress Report. And, you can be in the KNPB studio as part of the audience!

Admission is free, but you must RSVP to guarantee seating. Reservations are first come, first served and can be made by emailing Michelle Joyce at michellej@knpb.org or by calling 775.682.7781.

Join the conversation as KNPB Public Broadcasting, with our news partners KUNR: Reno Public Radio and the Reno Gazette-Journal, ask economic development and community leaders what progress we've made and where we're headed next.

Panelists include:
  • Chris Baum, Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority
  • Richard Bartholet, UNR Center for Regional Studies
  • Bill Eadington, UNR Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming
  • Mike Kazmierski, Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN)
  • Steve Hill, Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development
  • Beryl Love, Reno Gazette-Journal
