Warm up your winter next Sunday with
“The Story Inside Whimsical Quilts”
Presented by Diane Hamm with Dena Leidke
Sunday, February 22nd at 2:00 PM
Handmade quilts are beautiful bed coverings and keep us warm, but are also a way quiltmakers use their craft to express themselves. The amazing quilt pictured here features the Nathan Hale Schoolhouse in the center.
"Whimsical Quilts" explores their makers' sense of humor, from the early 1800s to the present day. Diane Hamm is an award-winning quilter, and has created copies of historical quilts and current designs, which she uses to tell the stories of these quiltmakers.
A quilt show, with both new and vintage quilts, will be on display at the Museum to illustrate the beauty and humor found in these works of art.
