This week we will be stopping by the Everglades in Florida, The Redwood Forest in California, Yellowstone National Park, and Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park.
Stay tuned! Our road trip adventure doesn’t stop there. Be sure to check next week’s e-newsletter as we continue our trip throughout the United States and explore these natural landmarks.

Honoring Frontline Heroes
Yale New Haven Health
As we recognize the inspiring community contributions of Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and the entire Yale New Haven Health system this month, we want to share a story of courage and compassion courtesy of Senior Vice President, Operations at Yale New Haven Hospital and Executive Director of Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, Cynthia Sparer. She would like to recognize Jaspreet Loyal, MD, Pediatric Physician Team Lead and Kim Carter, RN, Pediatric Patient Services Manager, for leading a heroic team of pediatric doctors, nurses and support staff, who stepped up to treat and care for adult COVID-19 patients at a comfort-measures only stage of treatment during the height of the pandemic in Connecticut.
“It was inspiring to watch their confidence, professionalism and teamwork to provide incredible care to their patients,” said Sparer. “They courageously took responsibility as a team of doctors, nurses and hospital support staff to bring care and comfort to these vulnerable, isolated patients. We received moving letters from family members thanking them for their tenderness and skill in helping them to remain connected to their loved ones in the hospital.”

Everywhere, Wonder
By Matthew Swanson, illustrated by Robbi Behr
Take a journey into the imagination of a young boy―who explores everything from the pyramids of Egypt to a dusty footprint on the moon―and then back out again to the wonderful world right in front of him. Everywhere, Wonder explores the wonder in the world, while encouraging young minds to discover the extraordinary in the ordinary, and creatively share their stories with others.

Florida National Landmark: The Everglades
Our tanks are filled for our next Big Adventure across America. Today, the place we are going is about as far south east as we can travel in the United States, the Florida Everglades! Let’s explore the concept of conservation and then create a terrarium that emphasizes the importance of controlling invasive species.
