The observance of Yahrzeit is a sacred mark of reverence for the beloved departed; remembering them imparts a dimension of sanctity to our lives as we join together to recite Kaddish at services. Our noble tradition also invites us to kindle a memorial candle at home, and to make a memorial offering in honor of the person who is being remembered.

Minyan Midbar will not be holding a service in July. They are taking some time to expand and solidify their governance and service structures. They are very grateful to the HaMakom community for offering their space for the last few months.

Arthur Coleman, former HaMakom member, had been living in Taos teaching school kids and then decided to do extended study in Jerusalem. He's been in Israel for the past 3 years and seeking a place to live for a month (early August to early September) when he comes back to NM. He's going to be doing something in Taos two days a week but is interested in finding a place to live in Taos (perhaps ideally), Santa Fe, or even Los Alamos. He's planning to rent a car. He'd be OK with a room in someone's house or any other type of rental.
