As the country turns its attention to Presidential election to be held this November; we find ourselves in new territory because of this pandemic. There are multiple options for voting and each jurisdiction may have additional guidelines and processes. To help us prepare and to make sure that our voices are heard this election cycle, Mt Olive Baptist Church and the Branches of Hope CDC are co-hosting a webinar to provide important information on this evening, September 8th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (EDT). Viewing is available via Facebook Live, Church Website Livestream, and Mt. Olive's YouTube Channel.
Dr. Asa Lee will moderate a panel of representatives from the three jurisdictions (Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland) to educate us on the voting options this year. Presenters include: Ms. Gretchen Reinemeyer, Arlington County Director of Elections, Dr. Alphonso Saville, Elections Officer for the DC Board of Elections, and Ms. Nikkie Charlson, Deputy Administrator, Maryland Board of Elections. This webinar will answer questions related to early voting, absentee and mail-in voting, as well as in person voting options.
So that we might all participate in Mount Olive's Voter Registration Education Seminar this evening, the GAP Ministry Corporate Prayer Call will not take place. It will resume on Thursday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m.
