1st Sunday of Advent
Hanging of the Greens Service

Worship (in-person and online) at 10AM

A Word from Rev. Renae
Tomorrow, many of us will gather with family, family of choice, and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving. For most, it is a time of food, fellowship and giving thanks. But for others, it is a reminder of one less person at the table this year. It has been a hard year and many have said goodbye to loved ones. There are still others that struggle to put food on the table or are spending the holiday in the hospital. May we remember those in difficult circumstances and reach out to a loved one, a church member, a coworker or a neighbor who is having a challenging time. A text, a phone call or an email can go a long way on a day filled with loneliness or grief. We have so much to be thankful for at King of Peace and I hope you will count the church as one of your blessings this year.

Please consider joining us for our Hanging of the Greens Service this Sunday. We will enjoy learning about the significance of decorating our sanctuary and be able to participate by hanging a Chrismon on one of our trees. For the first time, we will sing all the songs! (Masked, of course) It is the first Sunday in Advent, a time where we prepare to receive the hope of the world, Jesus.

Come and celebrate the reason for the season!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Blessings,
Rev. Renae

As we prepare for our future, we invite you to use these words and pray for King of Peace this week:

Holy God, we are so very thankful for all those who make up King of Peace. Help us to appreciate our past and realize you are doing a new thing in our midst. We have accepted your call to journey into unknown territory and continue to place our future in Your hands. Guide us by Your Spirit and prepare us for the next steps. May we be one in love and mission. We ask this prayer in the name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Every year, we help provide some Christmas cheer for a local organization. The men and women at Turning Point, a local drug rehab center, are always quick to help us whenever we need help with moving furniture, putting up ceiling tiles, decorating for Christmas. We are hoping to provide for 40 men. The following items are things that we need:
