Dear Alumnae/i,

Happy New Year! I hope that this letter finds you in good health and good spirits as we look to the months ahead, buoyed by the hope of new beginnings.

I am writing today to let you know that after much thoughtful consideration as well as dialogue with Reunion volunteer leaders, we have decided to hold Reunion 2021 as a virtual event in May. It was a very difficult decision to make, particularly at a time when we are all craving a sense of personal connection with friends and loved ones. In light of the pandemic’s current landscape and the inability to reliably predict when herd immunity will allow us to safely host large gatherings, we feel it is prudent to focus our efforts on planning an exciting and robust virtual Reunion filled with laughter, singing and a celebration of the ties that bind us.

We are looking forward to creating a rich variety of educational and social experiences to celebrate the occasion, and are hopeful that a virtual Reunion may have the added benefit of encouraging classmates who have been unable to travel to campus in the past to join us and experience firsthand the excitement and enthusiasm of our community. To that end, we have partnered with Socio, an innovative online event platform used by some of the country’s top colleges and universities, to host a truly engaging and robust virtual program of events for Reunion weekend.

Director of Alumnae/i Engagement Sujata Jaggi ‘01 will be in touch in the coming weeks to share updates and information about Reunion planning. In the meantime, if you are interested in volunteering for your class’s Reunion committee, please contact Sujata to get involved.

I look forward to “seeing” you in May!

All the best from Dobbs Ferry,
