March 24, 2026 - The annual Road Race Management Race Directors’ Meeting and Trade Exhibit will take place in Hollywood, FL December 7 - 9, 2026. “Looking for a place to collaborate with scores of race directors in an intimate venue, then look no further than the annual Road Race Management Race Directors’ Meeting, which has been the must-attend gathering for race directors, running club officials and the running industry since 1983”, said Meeting Coordinator, Jeff Darman.

Confirmed sessions include “Best Practices for Course Management and Integrity” to help race directors make sure routes are free of spectator interference or runners being confused by lead vehicles or inadequate course marking, and a realistic overview of AI’s impact on race management.

The Keynote speaker will be announced in the near future. Some past Keynoters have included NPR’s Tamara Keith, World Athletics Road Running Coordinator Alessio Punzi, and former Boston Marathon Director Dave McGillivray. As always, the Keynote Dinner will be one of the highlights of the meeting.

Two prestigious running industry awards will be awarded at the meeting. The annual MarathonFoto/Road Race Management Race Director of the Year Award (presented by MYLAPS Sports Technology) will be presented at the Welcome Reception sponsored by RunSignUp and the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic on December 7. The MarathonFoto/Road Race Management Lifetime Achievement Award will be made at the Romanelli Communications Keynote Dinner on December 8.
