Tiffany and family move home!
Tiffany and her three children graduated from the Motel Shelter Program this month and have begun the next chapter in their lives with a new home. They are thrilled to have their own special place and love being independent. The Making Moves Matter team worked their magic to create a beautifully decorated space for the family!

Thank you for supporting Tiffany and her family while in the Motel Shelter Program and for your generous donations to furnish their home!
Vernay Moving and Storage

A very special thank-you to a hard-working, behind-the-scenes supporter of Family Promise, Vernay Moving and Storage, also known as Vernay Brothers.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vernay Brothers have performed 30 professional move days for Family Promise. Many of those days involved moving more than one family or individual into a new home on the same day! As an additional way to support, Vernay Brothers have also been instrumental in securing donated furniture by going out of their way to pick up extra donations on move days.

Thank you for your partnership and for being such an integral part of Family Promise's mission!
First Energy Corp.

A warm thank-you to First Energy Corp. for their visit to our day center and for the incredibly generous grant!

We are excited to serve together in our mission to end the crisis of homelessness in Morris County, and we appreciate the wonderful support for our most vulnerable neighbors!
Girl Scout Troop #6168, Madison

Thank you to Mackenzie Dickson from Girl Scout Troop #6168 in Madison for dedicating her Silver Award to helping families and individuals experiencing homelessness!

For her project, Mackenzie created a needs flyer and collected new garbage cans, mops, brooms, and other cleaning supplies along with a monetary donation for families and individuals moving into new homes.
East Hanover Middle School

A big thank-you to East Hanover Middle School's National Junior Honor Society for holding a donation drive and donating hundreds of gloves, mittens, hats, and scarves for all of our programs!

Your timing was perfect and highly needed by many of our families and visitors of our outreach center, Our Promise.
Caring Capital

Thank you to Caring Capital for donating a variety of craft kits for all of our programs!

What a great way to have fun and be entertained during the winter months! We appreciate your support and we have seen many smiles upon receiving the kits!
Gal-entine's Day Party!

Residents of the Promising Solutions women's campus were treated to a Valentine's Day party for gals!

The attendees enjoyed making homemade sugar scrub, chocolate-covered strawberries, and crafting over 40 handmade Valentines cards for residents of a local nursing home.

A fun time was had by all!
Family Promise of Morris County Celebrates Black History Month!

To honor and celebrate Black History Month, Family Promise's social work team held a BIPOC Self Care and Learning Conversations session at Our Promise, covering topics related to cultural identity, self-care, and barriers faced by those we serve.

In March, the Family Promise staff will hold a virtual Lunch & Learn Group Discussion to further elevate the meaning of the month.
