Join Us for Easter Worship
Easter is Coming!

We look forward to welcoming you to a festive, in-person celebration of Easter at Emmanuel Church on Easter Sunday (April 17) at 10 a.m. Our hope is that it will be just like Easters of old, with gorgeous flowers, beautiful organ music, the singing of hymns, and the sharing of holy communion (bread only), as the community gathers to give thanks for the gift of resurrected life in the Risen Christ. We hope you can join us.

While we expect everyone to continue to use good judgment regarding COVID precautions, there will be no social distancing or mask requirements at this service. We do, however, urge those with medical vulnerabilities or concerns to wear a mask.

In addition, for those who may not be quite ready for returning to a full church of people, the service will be live-streamed and recorded, so that it can be watched remotely either in real time or at a later date. The link for viewing the service is on our YouTube channel here. The link will go live a few minutes before 10 a.m. on Easter morning and, after the service, the recording will likewise be posted here.

Moreover, everyone is also invited to the Ecumenical Easter Sunrise Service on Singing Beach which will take place at 5:59 a.m. on Easter morning. This will be a short (20 minute) and informal service, with a reading of the Easter gospel, a brief message, two hymns, some prayers, and most importantly, a trumpeter to accompany our singing and wake up the neighborhood! Manchester's four Christian churches (Emmanuel, Cornerstone, First Parish, and Sacred Heart) will be participating.

In the meantime, we wish everyone a meaningful conclusion to your Lenten journey and a blessed Holy Week. We hope to see you on Easter morning!

In Christ's love,
Luther
