Join Us for Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based, early-intervention course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use challenges.

Identify. Understand. Respond.

Following the course, attendees may sit for the Mental Health First Aid Certification test. Certification is awarded through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and is valid for 3 years.

Learn how to respond with the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan (ALGEE):

Assess for risk of suicide or harm.

Listen nonjudgmentally.

Give reassurance and information.

Encourage appropriate professional help.

Encourage self-help and other support strategies.

Blended Training: Learners complete a 2-hour, self-paced online course, and participate in a 5.5-hour, Instructor-led training. This Instructor-led Training will be an in-person class with lunch on your own.
