Presidents Message

Dear WINS Members,

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our recent networking meeting. It was such a pleasure to connect with all of you and witness the collaboration and support that make our community so special.

Our meeting was filled with inspiring conversations, new ideas, and the kind of camaraderie that truly strengthens our network. Each one of you brings unique experiences and talents, and it’s amazing to see how we all lift each other up.

As we continue to grow and support one another, I encourage you to reach out to someone you met today, share your expertise, and keep the conversations going. Our connections don’t end when the meeting does—they are the foundation for future collaborations, opportunities, and successes.

Remember, we are stronger together. Let’s keep building each other up and make this network a place where women can thrive, share, and achieve greatness.

Looking forward to our next meeting!

With gratitude and excitement,

Ana Asatouri

Board Member Spotlight

Darci Richardson

I’ve been a member of WINS for many years. I have been blessed to also be a past president. A little-known fact is that my mom, Janet Adams started WINS over 40 years ago.

My husband Mark and I have been local mortgage brokers for over 29 years and truly love what we do. We have been helping our clients with purchasing their new homes, refinancing, equity lines and reverse mortgages.

I truly believe in giving back to our community and am on the board of several Simi Valley organizations. Being a local business means to give and assist in our local community. I am always here to answer any questions you may have, and it’s not just for purchasing a home. You may have a question on your current mortgage and just need assistance. I am always available to help you.

I have two wonderful children, and two amazing grandchildren.

I’m so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful women’s organization.

Claudia Chaverra

My name is Claudia Chaverra, and I am proud to be a part of

SUNMED™ I Your CBD Store, the largest hemp retailer in the United States, dedicated to empowering modern wellness through plant science.

Originally from Colombia, I moved to New Jersey at the age of nine and later relocated to California in 2002 with my husband, a Navy Seabee. We are blessed with a wonderful 15-year-old son and two delightful dogs.

After experiencing a tragedy in Las Vegas in 2017, I discovered CBD as a potential solution for my PTSD. Initially skeptical, I educated myself about its benefits and found hope in its use.

I am deeply grateful to fulfill my life’s purpose by helping others through CBD, offering USDA Certified Organic, third-party lab tested, and clinically proven products that set the benchmark for quality in the hemp industry. I invite you to visit one of our locations in Thousand Oaks, Ventura or Santa Clarita for free samples!

Life is Like a Cup of Coffee Motivational Short Story

The story goes like this:

A group of people were sitting in a coffee house, discussing life. As they talked, the conversation turned to the subject of life being like a cup of coffee.

One person said, “Life is like a cup of coffee. It all depends on how you make it.”

Another person said, “Yes, but you can’t control the water temperature, or the quality of the coffee beans.”

A third person added, “But you can control the amount of coffee and the strength of the brew.”

Then an older man, who had been listening quietly to the conversation, spoke up. He said, “Life is not like a cup of coffee, it’s the coffee cup that matters.

The cup is what holds the coffee and shapes its experience. And just like the cup, we need to focus on what’s around us, on what we have, and appreciate it.”

The group fell silent, pondering the old man’s words. The lesson of the story is that, like a cup of coffee, life is what we make of it.

We can choose to focus on what we have and appreciate it, or we can focus on what we lack and be discontent.

Ultimately, the cup that holds our life experiences is what matters, not the coffee inside.
