Our annual Trick or Treat Street is one of Holy Family’s favorite traditions where middle school students design themed booths and hand out treats to younger students — all while celebrating our Catholic faith through fun, creative, and faith-inspired themes.

Our theme is “Saints & Biblical Figures.” With over 10,000 saints and more than 3,000 biblical figures to choose from, students have endless opportunities to bring their imagination to life — blending favorite Bible stories, saints, virtues, and creative ideas.

Theme & Costume Inspiration

Bible Stories: Noah’s Ark 🐾 – Animal masks, rainbow backdrop. | Jonah & the Whale 🐋 – Ocean tunnel booth. | David & Goliath 🪶 – “Aim for Virtue” bean-bag toss. | Moses & the Burning Bush 🔥 – Light-up bush. | Garden of Eden 🍎 – Creation & stewardship theme.

Saints & Virtues: St. Francis of Assisi’s Animal Kingdom 🐕 – Blessing of pets. | St. Joan of Arc’s Courage Camp ⚔️ – Faith & strength. | St. Elizabeth of Hungary’s Royal Feast 👑 – Crown-making & kindness. | St. Michael the Archangel vs. the Dragon 🕊️ – Courage vs. temptation.

Creative Faith Connections: Titanic / St. Brendan ⚓ – “Sail through storms with faith.” | Outer Space / St. Joseph 🚀 – “Faith that lifts us higher.” | Sports & Saints 🏀 – Play with virtue (St. Sebastian or St. Christopher). | Saints Around the World 🌍 – Global heroes. | Heavenly Heroes 💫 – Superheroes of virtue.

Can costumes still be fun and expressive? Absolutely! Costumes can be colorful and creative — just tie them to a saint, Bible story, or virtue.

Examples: A sailor → St. Brendan the Navigator | A doctor → St. Luke | A firefighter → St. Florian | A gardener → St. Fiacre.

We can’t wait to see the creativity on display this year! Thank you to our students, families, and teachers for keeping this event both joy-filled and faith-focused!
