Tues., April 2, 3 pm: Tour of Mimi Findlay's Victorian Home followed by Tea.   A special treat for Staying Put Members. A tour of Mimi's lovely home followed by a traditional Victorian tea. Space limited. RSVP. Free.
Wed., April 3, 12 pm: Lunch and Fun at Lapham: "Korean Lotus Lantern Workshop." Ladies from the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project will come in traditional dress, show a short film, conduct a Lotus Lantern workshop, and serve Korean desserts. Lunch provided by Staying Put. Free for members. $5 for guests. RSVP.
Tues., April 9, 9:30 am: Men's Coffee at Staying Put. Join in on the conversation. RSVP. Free.

The Congregational Church Youth Group will help you 
get your home or yard  ready for spring.

Tues., April 9 at 2pm: Afternoon Tea with Organist 
Dr. Jody Blaine Davis at Lapham. World Class organist Dr. Jody Blaine Davis, Director of Music at the Congregational Church, will perform a repertoire by classical composers. She will share stories about the composers and their roles in the history of music. RSVP.
Thurs., April, 11, 12 pm: Lunch at Grace Farms. Join your friends for a hearty lunch in this serene setting. Rides available. RSVP.
Tues., April 16, 6 pm: Dinner at La Vista, South Salem, NY. Wonderful tiramisu and the dinner is delicious, too! A fun night out at a great price. $36 per person. Advance reservation and payment required by April 15. RSVP.
Wed., April 17, 12 pm: Lunch and Learn at Lapham: "Podcasts for Seniors." Aggie Aspinwall and Mary Lou Wilkinson will show you how to download fun and interesting stories similar to the serials you heard on the radio as kids. RSVP. Free.
Wed., April 24, 2:30 pm: A Visit to the New Canaan High School Planetarium. Astronomy teacher, Mr. Haag, will lead us on a tour of the New Canaan sky via the high school's Planetarium dome. RSVP to Staying Put. Free.

TIP from NIC
Did you know that the New Canaan Public Library will convert your VHS tape to a DVD disc free of charge?  Just bring in your tape and a blank disc and library staff will do the rest. 

In the Community:
Shred Day at Bankwell, 208 Elm Street:  S aturday, April 6, 9 am to noon. Dispose of old personal papers, bills etc. No limit on number of boxes.
Help with 2018 Tax Returns:  Wednesdays, 9 am - 3:30 pm through April 10 at Lapham.   Volunteers provide free assistance with preparation of State and Federal Tax returns. Special support for seniors and low to moderate income households. Make an appointment at 594-3620.
New Canaan Artisans Spring Boutique: Friday, April 12, 9 am - 
3 pm,  Roger Sherman Inn. Come see the wide selection of exceptional handcrafts to make your Spring celebration special. All proceeds benefit local nonprofit organizations like  Staying Put . Free.
