Tues., Aug. 6, 11 am:    A Visit to Marjorie Aronson's Studio. Come see talented local artist and Staying Put Member Marjorie (Tomchuk) Aronson's printmaking studio, followed by lunch on her shady porch. Free. RSVP.
Wed., Aug. 7, 12 pm: Lunch and Fun at Lapham: The Price is Right. Fun and prizes! See if you can guess the prices of commonly purchased items both from today and in the past. Free. RSVP.
Tues., Aug. 13, 9:30 am: Men's Coffee at Staying Put. Always an interesting conversation with lots of laughter. Free. RSVP.
Thurs., Aug. 15, 1 pm: Lunch at Mead Park. Join friends at the picnic tables for a fun and delicious lunch al fresco. RSVP.                               

Tues., Aug. 27, 2 pm:  Uncover Cool Curiosities in Connecticut. Join us at the New Canaan Library where we will listen to Martin Podskoch, the author of Connecticut 169 Club who will navigate us off the interstate and onto Connecticut backroads to meet and merge with fascinating neighbors and uncover cool curiosities tucked into the 169 towns and cities in the Nutmeg State.

Aug. 11, Noon or 1:30 pm: Land Use History Walk . New Canaan's landscape was  covered with farms and pastures. Evidence of these various land uses are still visible
today. Participants should wear sturdy shoes, and be prepared to walk on wooded,  sometimes uneven, terrain. Call the office and we will email you the link to sign up.

Aug.13, 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm: Astronomy at Grace Farms | Perseid Meteor Shower
Planetarium Director Tim Haag will teach us about the famous and bright shower, and search the sky as we look for the bright Perseids. Please bring your binoculars. Telescopes will be available, but visibility is dependent on the weather.

Aug. 22, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Taste of The Town Stroll. Have a Night Out on the Town! Over 20 different stores & restaurants sharing their tasty cuisine. A "food-raiser" for the New Canaan Food Pantry.
