TIP from NIC
Attention Walkers! Does taking 10,000 steps a day seem beyond reach? You may not need to do that many to benefit. A recent study of older women has found that "the sweet spot" for reducing the risk of premature death is about 4,500 steps per day, up to a plateau of about 7,500 steps per day. The study also found that intensity does not matter - strolling works as well as power-walking. So start walking... every little step helps!
